Hello friends! Welcome to the latest and greatest addition to Paint and Bake Ceramics, a blog devoted to all of our creative efforts and wonders. We are so excited to bring fresh and fun information to you through this written outlet. Did you stumble across this blog and have no idea who we are? Love to hear that! We are a locally owned and operated paint your own pottery studio located in Northern Kentucky. Our tiny ten table studio was brought to life about five years ago. We are so proud to say that we are thriving and more than doubled in size within our first two years and now can seat up to 70 painters in the studio!
We can cater to all your creative needs including parties, camps, Ladies’ Night Out, Family Fun Nights, on-site events, fundraisers, and more! We have fun classes for kids and adults that cover much more than just painting ceramics. Come create wonderful wall pieces with string art, awesome custom etched casserole dishes or whiskey glasses, and so much more in one of our classes. Walk in and let your tiny humans squish their hands into a slab of clay or paint a handprint on a platter that we will transform into a precious keepsake to cherish for years. The possibilities to tap into your inner artist are endless here at Paint and Bake Ceramics. Oh, and did I mention were open every day of the week for you to pop in and paint a beautiful creation with us whenever you’d like?! That’s pretty awesome if I do say so myself. For those of you who do know and love us, this blog is new to you as well, thank you for being one of our amazing customers!
So, what is a blog? Some of you may not be familiar with the virtual world of writing and there is so much out there for all of us to explore! Traditionally, bloggers will “specialize” in an area of writing. This could range from how to create the perfect décor in your home to what it’s like to live with a rare disease. The possibilities of blogging are endless. Here, we are going to dive into the world of ceramics, art, and creativity from all angles. I want this to be a spark to all of our readers’ creative minds and a source for some pretty awesome tips, tricks, and information about the industry. We’re going to dive into topics that branch out from the four walls of our small Northern Kentucky studio that we love so much. Sometimes we may write specifics like how to get the bubbles technique onto your awesome new spoon rest that of course says, “lick the spoon”, or maybe we’ll talk about all the fun techniques available to bring your piece to life. Want to figure out the perfect anniversary gift, Mother’s Day surprise, or host a birthday party that is virtually effortless? Yeah, we’ve got that covered too! You can get to know Paint and Bake, our passion, our staff and our lovely owner through this blog. We’ll explore everything from pottery around the world to how to host a killer bachelorette party.
This blog, our studio, and all of our efforts to reveal the world of ceramics- it’s all for you! We couldn’t do what we love to do without all of you, so let’s dive in together! We want to hear from you! What would you like to hear about? I’ve got a lineup of some awesome topics to cover for you all, but let’s not stop there. Message us on social media or comment on this blog post. What’s the topic in our world of art you’re dying to learn more about? Share something you would love to learn in our studio or how awesome your piece turned out and what you did to make it so beautiful, we want to hear it all! We can’t wait to explore this new outlet with you, and we are so excited to continue to make this world a little more colorful.
MEET THE AUTHOR:
A little about me, the author behind the words of this blog, Rachel. I have worked at Paint and Bake Ceramics for over four years and loved every minute of it! This studio is more than just a job to be. My co-workers, the studio, my love of art, and our customers have all shaped me and for that I am so blessed. Outside of Paint and Bake Ceramics I am a grad student at UC studying social work. I plan to work in the mental health field, something I am passionate about. I also do a lot of babysitting on the side. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my boyfriend. I love to create art of my own, a good cup of coffee, listening to podcasts, trying new local restaurants, being athletic, and of course the occasional glass of wine. I am very excited about this opportunity to write and share my love of all things art, ceramics, and Paint and Bake Ceramics with all of you!
